Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Nodewave (Portugal), the operator of Ungamble. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. Questions: hello@ungamble.app.

What Ungamble is, and is not

Ungamble is a self-help companion for reducing or stopping gambling: streak tracking, daily check-ins, urge tools, educational content, an AI companion, and optional app blocking. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional help, and no outcome is guaranteed. Recovery is your work; Ungamble is a tool.

If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a helpline such as 1-800-GAMBLER (US) immediately.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ungamble.

Subscriptions and billing

• Ungamble requires a paid subscription: $13.99 per month or $59.99 per year (prices in your local currency are shown in the app, set by Apple).
• The yearly plan starts with a 7 day free trial. You are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
• Billing is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple ID settings (Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• We will never charge you extra to bypass a block or unlock the app after a relapse.

Your account and content

You are responsible for your device and Apple or Google account used to sign in. Content you put into Ungamble stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and process it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your data at any time in the app.

The AI companion

Rux is an AI. It aims to be helpful and grounded, but it can be wrong, and nothing it says is medical, legal, or financial advice. Do not rely on Rux in an emergency. Daily usage limits apply to keep the service sustainable.

App blocking

The optional shield uses Apple Screen Time to block apps and websites you choose. It is a strong speed bump, not a guarantee: iOS limits what any app can block, website filtering applies to Safari, and you can always disable the shield yourself.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse, reverse engineer, resell, or disrupt the service, probe its security, or use it to harm others. We can suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimers and liability

Ungamble is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, Nodewave is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Ungamble and delete your data at any time. We can end or change the service with reasonable notice; if we ever shut down, we will give you the chance to export what is yours.

Changes and governing law

If we materially change these terms we will tell you in the app first. These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. The current version always lives at ungamble.app/terms.
